How Does A Grown Woman Become A Teenager?

Last week it happened…the best day of my 4 year old’s life. There she was singing at the top of her lungs, surrounded by 60,000 other screaming teenagers.

The funny thing was, I looked down the aisle and saw my wife and 3 year old daughter doing the exact same thing. Here was a 31 year old, standing up, belting out the lyrics as if she had shaved off 15 years. She was one of them (see the video below for proof, she’s gonna kill me).

Ok, I have to admit that there’s a bit of joy watching this. It’s something that only fathers get to experience. Was it worth the $800 dollars? You bet it was!

Here is the miracle. How is it that Harry, Louis, Niall, and Liam (One Direction) can turn full grown women into screaming teenagers? They generate millions of revenue in one night by singing songs (their product).

It makes me sick… I mean four young boys have the ability to turn a city upside down in a matter of minutes. Heck, some just open their mouths and the girls act like they are going to faint. It was marketing at its finest.

Which brings me to the point.

One Direction is able to generate a message/product and deliver it to the right target audience. In turn, they are compensated. It was amazing to see the fans and to think that happens all over the world.

We can learn from this.

Isn’t this what business is all about? We all have a special product or service that people need. Once we find the target audience and deliver them the message, they depart with their hard earned cash (if they perceive that there is value).

If only it was this simple.

The definition for “advertising” according to Webster’s is this:

Ad-ver-tis-ing
The activity or profession of producing advertisements for commercial products or services.

Here’s “marketing”:

Mar-ket-ing
The action or business of promoting and selling products or services, including market research and advertising.

What the heck is that supposed to mean? Sometimes I think Webster was on crack when he wrote his definitions.

Here is a better definition according to Jace (no, I don’t do crack).

Advertising/Marketing

The act of putting your message (about your product or service) in front of the right target audience.

It’s that simple. When you do this, you get results.

  • It’s not marketing if you do not have a message.
  • It’s not marketing if you do not have a target audience.
  • It’s not marketing if your message falls on deaf ears.
  • It’s not marketing if you do not get results.
  • It’s not marketing if you do not know what kind of value your product brings.

This is one of the reasons Ydraw and Yinc Marketing were created.

Ydraw, was set up to create the message and tell your story. We do this by creating an engaging video that gives people a reason to care.

Yinc Marketing was created to find the right target audience and put your message in front of them. We do this by using YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, email and many other avenues. We find what works and scale it up.

It’s the perfect fit and it works every time. Unless your product sucks, then we can’t help you…lol 😉

This is where 99% of businesses struggle. They haven’t crafted the right message, or they might not have their message figured out. That’s problem one. Next, they have a message but have no idea how to put it in front of their target audience. Both problems lead to disaster.

We are great at both, and we want to show you what we are doing for businesses like yours.

This week we will be doing a webinar on Message and Delivery. We want to provide huge amounts of value. We want to give you something that you can take and use immediately to better your business.

*See how to create the right message
*Find out how to deliver that message to the right audience for pennies.
*Find out what is working for your industry
*Get ideas on what you can do next to promote your product or service
*Come hang out with me. This is totally the best part…  🙂
*More great stuff

Sounds simple, right?

Don’t miss it because it might just be the thing that changes your business forever.

A webinar that will change your business forever.

Have a great day and happy singing One Direction.

One Simple Secret For Total YouTube Domination

One Simple Secret For Total YouTube Domination

One Secret Trick To Dominate The Front Page Of YouTube Search

(dom·i·na·tion) (dŏm′ə-nā′shən)

a. Total control or power over your YouTube viewers and visitors.

I might have made up some of that definition, but it’s close.

I am not sure if you guys are feeling it, but there have been some weird things going on in the Internet world. It got me a little bit on edge last week.

It’s a constant battle (love affair) between Google, Traffic, Competitors, Facebook, Clients, Employees, and my sanity. I have to admit…I feel like I lost last week and I do not lose.

So I have come back this week with some extra motivation.

I wanted to show you all a little trick I have been working on with YouTube. This little tip will go a long way with your Video Marketing Strategy.

Please understand that I do hesitate showing this because we have competitors and every time I post something I see my competitors start to implement it… (you know who you are and I will get you.)

Let me give you a little bit of History.

Awhile back I was watching a YouTube video on Ydraw’s Channel and I hated the fact that after the video ended my competitors videos would pop up as a suggestion from YouTube. They would also be showing along the right side.

This was a problem for me for a couple of reasons.

1. I want the audience to keep watching my videos not other peoples’. I spend a lot of money, time, and resources capturing customers and once I have one…I like to keep them watching my stuff.
2. YouTube ranks your videos according to views, comments, and watch time. (note there is a little more to it, which I covered in earlier emails.) When you have a potential customer they will watch all your videos to see what you have to offer. I want to feed them info and keep them on my channel for ranking reasons.

Before we jump into the secret, I wanted to make sure you have a couple of basics in place. We discussed this in earlier emails.

1. A Great Video – you need a video that people will actually watch, and if you have a budget, I suggest you create multiple videos that push your product and establish you as the expert in your field. Ydraw would love to tell your story and we have the best whiteboard videos in the business, so get one…
2. YouTube Channel – your YouTube channel needs to be an extension of your website. Make sure it is branded and is linked to your analytics, Adwords, and your website. Ford did a great job with this. [Ford link] Now that we can drive people away from YouTube to a landing page, it’s important that your channel is decked out.
3. Still to come…

Here is the trick that will allow you to Dominate the whole front page of YouTube. It can be found in the tags.

It’s what I like to call the “The Secret Tag Trick Create By Jace The Master Video Guy.”

Here are your steps:

Step 1: You need to create a tag that is custom to your company. It’s a tag that you do not want others to use.

“Yincvideos” or “Aflacvideochannel”

Step 2: When you are filling out the keyword tags just put your special tag at the end.

Example (special tag is…ydrawvideosrock)

Tags: Whiteboard Videos, whiteboard animation, animation videos, ypaint video, how to videos, ydrawvideosrock

YouTube-Domination-with-Tags

I used my special tag at the end of the tags.

Why do we do this?

Because when watching videos on YouTube, or on another person’s site, ads and other suggested videos will pop up along the right hand side and after the video is played.

This is what you want it to look like…There are 20 suggested videos to watch and they all come from Ydraw.

Dominate-YouTube-Page-after-some-watches-your-video

Total Domination. Do not give the viewer a chance to click on someone else’s video. You will see that Ydraw has taken up every single spot after the video and every single spot on the right hand side.

Tricky right?

It’s almost like magic, but without the magic. It’s just “Plain Jane” brilliance.

So there you go.

Now get out there, get a Ydraw video, develop your Youtube channel and start creating videos.

Make sure and set up your Tags properly and you will enjoy the feeling of total YouTube Video domination.

One last thing…Our last blog covered the New YouTube Cards. You really ought to check it out and see how you can use YouTube Cards to drive traffic from your videos to your website or landing pages.

P.S. Since I love my fellow readers I want to make sure that you know what is coming down the pipeline. On April 15 Google is going to basically de-index sites that are not mobile friendly. Here is a simple link that you can use to check your site. I have checked a couple of your sites and some of you did not pass. Get if fixed..

P.S.S Quote of the day…I found this little gem in an email. “I have implemented pre-purchase question limit. If you ask 3 questions then you are not allowed to buy. I have found that asking more than 2 questions is simply looking for the reason why it “wont work”, and someone with this mentality will always find it.”

New Watercolor Explainer Video… You Are Going To Want One

One Sunday morning I was in church and me and Camdyn, by youngest daughter, needed to take a little break.

We found ourselves in the hallway where I came upon a flyer that said.

“I need some help and I would be happy to clean your home or office to make some extra money. I have a lot of experience and worked for a cleaning company.”

“Call XXXXXXXXXX”

What does one live for if not to make the world a better place for those who are struggling?

So, I immediately called her and gave her some work.

It was all fine and dandy until last Monday she seemed a little distraught and nervous. Something was up.

Next thing we know, we are missing our $2000 camera and the cleaning lady has disappeared.

Elphaba said it best in the broadway play “Wicked”

“No good deed goes unpunished.”

I wish I could say this has never happened to be before, but I have a tendency to get ripped off a lot. It’s a good thing I can afford it.

Which brings me to the point.

Introducing our new Watercolor Videos.

Whenever we launch a new product you can bet 4 months later our competitors are going to be launching the same thing. Just a lot uglier.

I like to call them…

“The Swiping Men”

They did it with Yswipe, they did it with our Blackboard, and they will do it with Ypaint.

That’s the name of our new Watercolor Videos

“Ypaint”

You ought to get one…they are pretty cool.

And for those of you looking to rip us off…

Go ahead. We are all about sharing. I like to think of it this way.

Without competition nobody would cheer when we make a touchdown.

We all go to watch the battle.

So check out the new video

You are going to love it…

And one other thing:

If any of you have bought a used Nikon Camera in the last couple of days and you find pictures of a 4 year old’s birthday party on the memory card, send us the pictures…you can keep the camera.

Happy Hunting

You Will Never Believe How They Got Their Name

You Will Never Believe How They Got Their Name

The “Bridegrooms” was attached to Manager William “Gunner” Mcgunnigles’s 1890 ballclub because seven of the players got married around the same time.

But that didn’t last.

Why would it? I would feel a little girly stepping onto the ball field being called the “Bridegrooms.” But that is just me.

So later on “Trolley Dodgers” was attached to Brooklyn ballclub.

Do you know why?

It was because of the complex maze of Trolley cars that weaved its way through the borough of Brooklyn.

You had to dodge them…

Later on in the 1890s they dropped the Trolley and kept “Dodgers.”

Kind of a crazy story right? I bet most of you had no idea that the Dodgers got their name from Trolley cars.

But that is their story, and Dodger fans love it.

My point is… There is power in your story.

Starting at a young age, we are “hard wired” to be persuaded by stories.

I can think of : “David and Goliath,” “The parable of the Sower,” “The Army of Heleman” etc.

Those are just a few stories that changed my life. I made decisions based off of the stories that I was told.

I guess that is my point.

If you are trying to convince someone to buy into your product, service or ideas, it is best to use a story… YOUR STORY!

Because behind everyone product or service, there is a story that needs to be told.

A story can take a take pesos from someone else’s pocket and put them in yours.

It can motivate you to do something or think in a certain way.

We love stories…

That is something we do at Ydraw. We are all about creating and telling stories.

I’d suggest you check out our New Blackboard Videos. It might work for your story

http://ydraw.com/animation-video/blackboard-animation/

We also have 2.5D, 3D, Water Color and more.

Ydraw.com

Have a great day!

How did the Dodgers get their name? The Dodgers got their name from the Trolley Cars. You had to dodge the Trolley Cars so hence the name of the Ball Club.
