Where should you be running your ads? Google? Facebook? YouTube? Linkedin?

Where should you be running your ads? Google? Facebook? YouTube? Linkedin?

Most businesses have a hard time deciding where they want to run their ads. Google may work, but can get pretty costly. Facebook is the cheapest; but may not get you actual customers, YouTube takes a lot of work plus a video, and Linkedin still can’t figure out their ad platform.

Where are going to run you ads?

In this video we will go over the pros and cons of each platform and which one will work for you.

In this video we are going to be going over what is better and what you should be running as far as ads goes and we’re going to compare Google AdWords, Facebook ads, YouTube ads, and LinkedIn ads.

Those are the four we’re going to discuss. First off, let’s go over each one of them.

1. Google Adwords

Basically, Google AdWords it controls mainly search campaigns, display campaigns, YouTube campaigns so all within Google AdWords you can find those types of things.

Here’s my experience with Google AdWords, I love Google AdWords but some businesses can lose a lot of money quickly and I’m going to discuss those.

Any business that people have an urgent need for works well. If you’re a dental practice or orthodontics practice where somebody needs a quick tooth fix. These work excellent for AdWords. If you’re in any type of niche market, excellent for AdWords.

When you start getting into personal injury or hotels or those types of things, you start competing with the big boys which can get very expensive and you can blow your budget quickly. I’m going to show you how our AdWords works for one of my companies, I’ll show you how our Facebook works, how YouTube works and then you can get a good feel for our ROI on both those. Let’s jump over first off into AdWords and discuss this.

This is for Ydraw, we do whiteboard animation. We have a bunch of different campaigns running so we have search campaigns which are over here on the left. We’re going after the words whiteboard, explainer video, whiteboard animation and you can look, let’s look at this one. This is one of our main keywords.

If you look at whiteboard animation, here is our campaign. We got 320 clicks. My average cost per click is $8 and I had 65 conversions. My average cost per conversion is $40. Okay, my conversion rate is 20%, that means they are opting in, they are filling out information to get pricing. Now, good things about this is I do work a lot on my AdWords campaign and AdWords campaign cannot just be set it and forget it. You have to actually put in the time necessary to get your quality scores up, make sure you’re going after the right keywords, make sure you have landing pages set up with those. Now, if you click on one of these search campaigns I also have a whiteboard remarketing campaign.

Anyone who hits that page then goes into my remarketing and you can see that this month, last 14 days, this is the last 14, let’s go last 30 to give you a good sense. Last 30 days I’ve had 94 clicks and this is remarketing only. My cost per converted click is $20. My conversion rate 10%. Now, this is when somebody already clicks on one of my ads then they turn around and they see one of my banner ads then they come back to the website and request pricing. Got it? That works really well. Now, a lot of you might look at my cost per lead is $20 here, on remarketing it’s $40 on AdWords. It can go as high as 70. The price of the product makes all the difference. Okay, if you are trying to sell a $19 product or a $25 product, you’re going to start to struggle.

The numbers are going to be real tight. When you start getting into the thousands then it’s very profitable. I can spend two, $300 per lead and be okay as long as I am closing one in ten deals. Got it? That is a good look at the Google AdWords campaign. It works, you should be running ads. You need to at least test it but don’t do it on your own. Make sure you get a professional or learn the way you should be running AdWords or go take classes, whatever you need to do. Don’t just jump in and start throwing money at it because you’re most likely going to lose. There’s a lot more that goes into it. I’ll just give you a little hint, on your keywords make sure you use phrase match, broad modifier and exact. Do not mess with the normal just broad keywords, you will get beat. Got it?

AdWords, I love AdWords. It works great for emergency medical, works great for niche products, as long as your price is high enough.

2. Facebook Ads

Now, let’s jump over to Facebook. Facebook works really well for most businesses. If you go into this, here’s the Facebook campaign that I’m running for the same company. I am requesting the exact same thing. I wanted to request pricing. You’ll see my cost per lead right here on this campaigns is $8 per lead, $8 per lead. I don’t like that, that seems high to me. I’ll probably jump in and start adjusting them. I’d rather be down in the three range. Now, a lot of you might be wondering, “Hey, he’s getting $8 leads here but he’s getting $20 leads over on Google AdWords,” or $40 leads, or $50 leads.

There’s a whole different return on investment and you need to treat each channel differently. You don’t want to go on to your AdWords campaign and think, “Oh, well I’m only getting 20, I’m getting a $20 lead over here but Facebook is $2. I’m going to put all my money into Facebook.” No, because your ROI could be a lot higher on Google because they are actually searching for your product or service. Facebook, they see it, it might pique interest, they might be like, “Oh, I just want to test out and see what pricing is,” and then they’ll fill out a form. Okay? I treat every channel as its separate channel as long as I’m getting a return on investment on that channel I will expand it. We have $8 leads, $3 leads, $5 leads. These are remarketing, some of these are remarketing campaigns. Got it?

Then I have a little engagement running. If you’re coaches, network marketing, fitness, all of those types of products worked really well on Facebook ads. A lot of people say B2B does not work on Facebook ads, I beg to differ, I’ve seen it work all the time. You just had to be very targeted. The best thing about Facebook is you can really nail down your audience. We do a lot with Boys Home Treatment Centers and Facebook has been a huge avenue for them. Got it? Because they are able to interact right there on the channel, on the Facebook page.

3. YouTube Ads

Back to our YouTube ads, okay, YouTube ads and I’ll lump in Gmail ads with this. YouTube ads are great way for remarketing.

I love them for remarketing and they are great way to get in front of your target audience. The only problem is you are so limited. If you go out there and create a video, then what you want to do is find the exact videos you want to play on. You can do things like take your competitor’s clients if you want because you can run in front of your competitors.

You can pick the exact videos you want to run in front, you can cater the message, there’s a lot you can do with YouTube ads but what a lot of people do is go out there and they just set their YouTube ads to run in front of all types of videos like Taylor Swift videos, Wheels On The Bus, and they will lose a lot of money and it’s not really a good way to go about it.

If you look at this one, I’ll just show you real quick. Let’s go to video campaigns. If we nail down and say okay, let’s take a look at specific placements. Okay, my cost per conversion this is just placement where I’ve picked where I want them to play, now I’m going pretty broad here. Look at my cost per conversion, $185. Now, does that work? Yes. It still works really well. Now, I’ve seen them as low as 13 cents. If we nail down this campaign and go into the placements I could turn off a lot of placements and get a very, very good return like take a look let’s go all time. Okay, if you go all time, the numbers look a little better and this is a YouTube campaign, I’m getting conversions, 313 conversions, $35 per conversion and these are all on YouTube ads.

You can see, YouTube ads work once again for this product and you just have to be very strategic about it, don’t go out there and spend a huge amount of money until you get the numbers figured out. Got it? I like YouTube ads, they work.

4. Linkedin Ads

Now, finally, let’s discuss LinkedIn ads. LinkedIn ads I have tried and they are so expensive and I need to try them again. It was a year ago when I started to run LinkedIn ads. Why it was so expensive? They were charging almost $25 a click is what it came out to be to get somebody to my website. I hope they fixed it since then but the rule on LinkedIn ads, you have to have a very high ticket item. You need to be in the 7, 10,000, $15,000 range and you can make LinkedIn ads work for you.

I’m not going to show you LinkedIn ads. I think this video is going to be long enough but take a look at them, make sure you test every single one of these things so Google AdWords, Facebook, YouTube ads and LinkedIn. A key to all of these is an email campaign behind it. Don’t be running ads unless you have a good follow up email campaign.
If you go look at a lot of my leads on my analytics come in from my email so I capture their attention by running ads in these places. Once I get them into my drip system then they go into an email sequence. Don’t forget direct mail, don’t forget cold emails, cold-calling, all those other things work but if you’re in certain types of businesses, you have to be running Google AdWords.

I really tell urgent care centers, hospitals, stuff like that, they should be running AdWords, dentists, doctors, those guys, niche products, plumbers, all those guys should be running ads. Facebook, you should be doing Facebook ads whether it’s just for remarketing, YouTube ads, spend $2 a day on YouTube ads and then LinkedIn ads, that’s the only one that I wouldn’t recommend for most people. Got it? If you have questions, you can always visit our website, go to marketinghy.com or if you do need a video we have ydraw.com, we can do whiteboard animation, whatever you need. Let us know and hope you enjoyed the video. See you.

1. Search Engine Optimization. (PR, Backlinks and more)

Here’s the video transcript. Forgive errors I have this done overseas..:)

Hey. In this video, we’re going to discuss a little bit about search engine optimization and also a few little tips and tricks that I like to do whenever I’m trying to rank videos, whenever I’m trying to rank blog posts. I’m going to discuss a lot about search engine optimization today and I’ll show you exactly what we can do as a business as far as Marketing Hy can do for you guys. There are some tips, and tricks, and secrets that we use to rank things. Let’s go over this.

First thing I want to talk to you about is how to rank an actual article or an actual webpage. Okay, this is a big deal for a lot of companies. Search engine optimization has been around for a long time, but there are certain things that you need to do. You need to have great content and you need to have good back links. Let me explain what I did to get the rankings I got and then I’ll show you exactly how I got back links, what I did to push it up through the search engines. Hey, I’m going to jump over to incognito mode, so it’s legit. Video marketing services, okay.

What I did, I went out there to rank this article. I wanted to rank this page and see how fast I could push it to the top. I’m bouncing right now between page one and page two. Oftentimes, I’m position number three on page one. Sometimes I’m position number two. Now this will improve over time as I keep pushing it, but I did make some changes the other day which should take some good effect. I wanted to rank for video marketing services. It’s a very competitive key word. I was like, “Hey, if I can take the number one through three spot on video marketing services, that’d be a good spot to be.” The very first step is you create an actual webpage with video marketing services as the H1 tag. You can do that with WordPress and [inaudible 00:02:09]. Video marketing service is my H1 tag. I create a lot of different words, different combinations. Video marketing, video optimization, marketing services, right audience.

You can see how I designed this whole page, put a testimonial, and then I have a forum here, more information on video marketing services. Then you can see I have these links in here. I did a lot of bolding. I did italics. I did a lot of different combinations of the word video marketing services. Like I said, it took me about two months to start getting on page two, and now I’m hitting page one and I’m hitting page two. I hope to actually secure the position and then see if I can get to spot three, two, or one. Step one: you need to create good content. You can see they can come here. They get a checklist. It does give them a lot of great information. That is step one. The next thing that I do is I create back links. Part of getting your articles pushed or ranking your whole website, you have to get back links, whether you do that manually, whether you have somebody else do it.

Well, we actually have the ability to go out and do that for you. That is one of the services. We really don’t market it, but if you guys are in need of this service, we’d be happy to turn around and order this package. First off, I will get myself a press release, so you can see press release on video marketing services. I would then distribute that press release. We give you all these reports if you ever order it. We will do a guest post for that press release, so you can see here we did a guest post on these blogs. Then we will do a boost report where we’ll just do links back into the press release, things like that. Then also I will do a set of hide domain authority links to that article, to different spots on my homepage, and I will go after certain key words like video advertising, video marketing services. You can see we do a domain authority over here.

These five links we have to go out there and we get them by hand. This whole package is not easy to do. It takes a month or so, sometimes two months to get it all done. It’s very intense, but by doing this, we are able to rank almost any page we want. Now there are those really, really competitive key words that you’re going to have to order a bunch of these to make it happen. It’s going to take a year or so, but in the meantime, if you just have one type of key word that you want to go after, you can do it.

Now, it not only benefits you for that key word, video marketing services. If you type in video marketing companies, I am top position there. Got it. If you type in video marketing company, let’s see where. I’m usually top two there. I’m number two on that one. Video marketing agency, see where I’m at there. Number two. Okay, so it not only helps you on that particular page. It also can lift your whole entire website, so anything with video marketing company, video marketing services, video marketing agency, I found those are key words that I can go after. I can rank them, so let’s repeat. Step number one, what you’re going to want to do is create a page with 2,500 words on it. That’s a good number to go after. Make sure you’re using a whole combination of your key words. Make sure your H1 tag is your actual key word you want to go after.

Then turn around and you order a package from us where we will do back links, press release, or you can do it all manually. You can go out there and get your own back links. You can go out there and get your own guest logs. You can go do your own press releases. It’s up to you, but we do offer that if you are looking to get a quick boost. It takes a month and I spent, probably to do that package, it cost me $1,500 to do it all. It’s not like it’s cheap. It’s not $100, $200 service. It takes a lot of time, so plan on $1,500, $2,000, up to $3,000 for it. That is it. Hope you enjoyed. If you have questions, you can always call us, visit our site, marketinghy.com or if you need a video, ydraw.com. That is it. Have a good one.

Google Manager Invite Emails Will Not Go Through – Add Google Manager

Adding a manger to your Google account is very confusing. I am going to show you how to add a manager and then where you need to go if the invite emails are not coming through.

  1. Add a manager by clicking on the setting button in the right hand corner
  2. Add a manger by adding their email
  3. The person you added needs to go to https://myaccount.google.com/brandaccounts
  4. Accept the invitation

Here is a video that will show you

How to locate you Google Manager Invitation

Here is the video transcript. (forgive the typos)

In this video, we’re going to go over how you can accept an invitation for YouTube or Google brand accounts. There’s a lot of confusion going on right now on the Internet. No one seems to be able to tell you how do you get an invitation accepted. You’ll have a lot of agencies will have their client say, “Hey, I sent you an invitation,” but you can never, ever find that invitation. You used to have to go on Google+, the old Google+, and then it would show you an invitation. I’m going to show you how to do that.

First thing we’re going to do is jump over into a YouTube account. I’m going to jump over to my Marketing High one. How you get people, you go over here, just click on settings. What you can do is view or change your account settings. Actually, I have to jump onto a channel. Let me jump onto my actual channel. I’m going to jump on my YouTube channel.

Over here, you click here and you can go to settings. I’m already there. You can add or remove managers. Let’s say I’m going to add a manager here. Manage permissions, you’re going to click up here in the top, invite. I’m going to invite my … That one might not work.

Let’s say you send this invitation. I’m going to go manager. Let’s actually do this one. I’m going to do a manager. I’m going to do an invite. Normally, what you would expect is that you would get an email where you could accept that invitation. That is not the case. What you have to do is actually go to this URL. I’ll put this down in the link.

You have to go to http://myaccount.google.com/brandaccounts. Once you click on this URL, great. You’re going to see your pending invitations there. If you do not get that email, you can just type in the URL myaccount.google.com, and right here is where you’re going to find your pending invitations. You can just click here an accept those pending invitations. Then you have control. Then you can also look at all the brand accounts.

This also works for YouTube channel. This works for My Business Local, works for Google+, but that is how you receive and accept, and here’s where you can actually change your notifications, too. Got it? If you have questions, just look it up, but that is how you’re going to accept invitations for Google accounts. Just remember that URL. Like I said, it’s this URL, myaccount.google.com/brandaccounts. There, you’ll be able to accept it. Got it?

Do you plan on starting a New Business? Creating A Business Part 1

Do you plan on starting a New Business? Creating A Business Part 1

Do you plan on starting a New Business? Creating A Business Part 1

The Video transcript. (Forgive errors)

Hey, everyone. Today we’re going to be going over creating a business, part one. Over the next probably 30 days, I am going to show you guys how to generate a business from scratch. We’re going to go all the way from the idea from the product to the service all the way through to the final revenue stream. I will start a business from scratch, show you how to set up from going onto the state website, getting your business license, saving the name to website design, Webmaster Tools, start to finish. Okay?

I look forward to that, but today we’re going to talk about step one, step two. Very first thing is you need to make sure you have a good product or service. Let’s jump over to what we’re going to be doing. How this all started, I had a … That is not the right bottle, just know that. I had a friend come up and said that he had this sore throat. He’s actually my business partner over at Ydraw. He swore by this product. I used to have a big problem with sore throats. I get them once or twice a year, and they would kill. They were bad strep throats. Then, one time it was like this thing called guttate psoriasis, so it was bad.

Well, I hated them. One morning, I went in there and I was like, “Oh, I’m gettin’ a sore throat.” He’s like, “Jace, I have the best stuff in the world. It works.” He gave me some. We went and got some. I sprayed that stuff on my throat, and it was gone. Took about 12 hours, and I’ve used it multiple times since. Once you get a sore throat or you start feeling a sore throat, you just grab this stuff and spray. You do not go through that horrible phase where you have the itchy … you can’t swallow. It was awesome. I turned around, and I said, “Hey, why aren’t we producing this and selling it?” He says, “I don’t know.” I turned around and just said, “Hey, I’m launching this product.”

We call it Sore Throat because that’s what it is. Does it work? Yes. That is the initial thing of any product or service that you do. You have to make sure it’s a good product, and you have to make sure it works. Don’t go out there and try to launch a certain product or service and you have no idea if it’s working or not working. I see that. Or, I’ve seen a lot of people go out there and launch a product or service that just is not beneficial, and it ends up failing. Okay?

Very first step, it’s not like you get a good product and everything happens. That does happen on some occasions, but still, even though you have a great product, you still have to get out there an market it. Okay? There’s a lot of good products out there that end up going bankrupt just because they have no idea how to market it. Okay? Second thing, jump back here to this. Once you have a product or service, you know it’s worked, it’s a good product or service, then you have to look at your message.

Now, this product that we’re doing is very easy. It is basically, “Hey, want relief from your sore throat?” Who are we looking for? We’re looking for people with their sore throat. I created a guide, and I’m going to put this down in the notes that you guys can click on to get access to. Okay. I like to call our message your unique selling proposition. What makes them want to buy your product or service over somebody else’s or doing something else? Okay. It should answer the question, why should they do business with you versus every other option they have?

In this guide, I give you guys examples of really good, unique selling propositions. This is from GKIC community. They help entrepreneurs. It’s part of Dan Kennedy Group. Their unique selling proposition or message is, “Entrepreneurship is hard, don’t go at it alone.” Okay. Who are they talking to? They’re talking to entrepreneurs. Okay. They bring up kind of a pain point as it’s hard. Then, they go in and say, “We created a community of like-minded entrepreneurs and business owners that are focused on improving their business, income, and their lives.” There’s no confusion there. You know what they’re doing, you know that they’re for entrepreneurs, and it says exactly what their whole plan is.

If you go down to the next one, the pet store. “Pet owners are concerned about what their pets are really eating, so we source our food from trusted local vendors who ensure your pets stay happy and healthy.” Okay. They’re talking to pet owners. What do they do? They create food to make sure their pets stay happy and healthy. Okay. You don’t need to get overly complicated. Let’s go to the next one, financial advisors. “Most people can’t get their heads around their financial futures, so we create a financial map that puts all your info on a weekly dashboard giving you peace of mind about your finances.” Okay. You’ll notice they use the words peace of mind, you don’t have to worry. Who are they speaking to? Anyone who has financial issues or is looking to prepare for their financial future.

Used car sales. “Nobody likes to haggle with the car salesman, so we removed the salesman entirely.” Now, that is a very good headline. We don’t like haggling with car salesmen, so that gets your attention. Then, they go in and say, “You can choose and test drive a car hassle free so you have peaceful experience getting the car you want.” Okay. Great.

Real estate agent. “Our 20-step marketing system will sell your house in less than 45 days at full-market value.” Okay. They have a 20-step market system. They’re the experts. They’re going to sell the house. That’s what you want, and they’re going to do it at full-market value, something else that a consumer want.

Ydraw. “Do you have a story that needs to be heard? We’re a whiteboard animation company that loves creating incredible animation videos for you. Want one?” Okay. There’s just not a lot of confusion there. If you even jump over to Marketing Hy’s … When you come to my site, you know what I do. We’re a video marketing company. “We drive view, leads, customers, and sales to your video so that your business can grow.” Zero confusion. If you take this guide that I created, you can just go on here. You’ll see here’s the link, and like I said, I just put it in this YouTube video.

Keep it simple, and you ask yourself what is your customers’ problem? What did you create to solve their problem? If they use your product or service, how will it improve their lives? Okay. You just start creating some drafts, different ideas. Put it together, and then what you want to do is test it. I will test my headlines and make sure that I get one that converts. I’ve tested with running Facebook ads, Google ads, those types of things, and whichever one gives me the highest conversion, that’s the headline I go with. Okay.

Back to this. First thing, product or service. Make sure you have a good one. Then the next thing, you need to make sure you work on your message. It takes a lot of work. Don’t just think you can sit down five minutes. Your message is always going to adjust according to your testing. Okay. Get a very good message. Don’t talk about features. Okay. Now, if I go back to this unique selling proposition … What’s features? This financial advisor, if he was going to talk about features, he would say, “We basically have, uh, the best platform software for an IRA, blah, blah, blah, blah.” He could have started talking about the features of their system. Okay.

Like Ydraw. I could say, “Oh, we have the cleanest whiteboard videos. We have the best-looking whiteboard videos,” those types of things. Those are features. Okay. You don’t want to get caught up in the features of your product, which that’s what most people do. I talk to them about their product or service. They said, “Oh, it’s the best on the market. It has this stuff in the ingredients.” No, we don’t care about that. What the consumer cares about is the actual benefits of the product or service. So, if I use your product or service, what is that going to do for my life? Okay. I don’t care about your ingredients. I don’t care about any of those things. What I care about is how it’s going to improve my life and get me the result. Okay.

It’s like the video marketing … If we go back to my website … “We drive views, leads, sales, and customers to help you grow your business.” That’s what we do. We help businesses grow. That’s the result that people want. Now, I could even go further and go into the results that if they grow their business, what are their results going to be? Financial freedom, okay, stress-free life. I could go further into that, okay, but we like … The business will grow has worked, and we’ve tested it. Now, I’m not talking about Facebook ads. I’m not saying, “Hey, we do Facebook ads, YouTube ads,” all those types of things. Those are features. Okay? We need to talk about the benefits, and the benefit is their business is going to grow. Got it?

If you have questions, let me know. You can always visit our site, marketinghy.com. In the meantime, like I said, I have put this guide to help you create your unique selling proposition, to help you design your right message. It’s just down in the description on this YouTube channel. Okay? Enjoy. We will chat again tomorrow. Great talking. See you.

In the admin tab this page is kind of the back and of your Google analytics. Off on the right hand side there is a tab called user management. Click on the user management

Step Three Give Permission

In order for you to give permission to the user you have to know their email. You put their email into the box and decide what kind of control you want to give the user. There are four different permissions you can give.

  • Manage Users
  • Edit
  • Collaborate
  • Read & Analyze

Generally speaking if somebody is running your marketing campaigns (like marketinghy ;)) you should give them permission to all four. If you’re just wanting to share data with a friend give them the option to read and analyze.
