How To Know If Your Facebook Ads Are Performing

How To Know If Your Facebook Ads Are Performing

The number one problem every one faces when running Facebook ads they ask are these working? Are they worth it? I think you should always be running ads  wether you are branding or generating leads. You should always be running ads but it is important that you are running them efficiently. I have a list of metirics below that can help you determine if your Facebook ads are performing properly.

Ad Engagement

Your audience needs to engage with your ad. I will list different ways that your audience can engage with your ad

  • Like your page
  • like your ad
  • watch your video
  • comment on your ad
  • Share your ad
  • Click to your site

Biggest Factor To Your Ads Success Is Relevance Score

Now the question is What is relevance score. Relevance score is calculated on the reaction that your ad generates. The more likes, views, comments, clicks to site. The higher the relevance score. Facebook rewards you for creating amazing content. If you create content that isn’t engaging you are punished. Facebook won’t deliver your ad up as much and your cost of impressions will increase. Now if you create an amazing ad Facebook rewards you and your cost per impression will be cheaper. We highly recommend creating amazing content.

Ad Delivery

When you’re looking into your ad delivery. Never let your ad go over five on the frequency score. We generally don’t like to exceed five because we feel like we will starts over deliver. We know this because he always start to see a decrease in our relevance score. So once you turn off your ad you might ask what do I do now? What we do is we start to deliver up new content to these audiences. We might us booster post or showing the video we shot. Just keep your audience interested in continue to educate them.

Performance And Clicks

In this section we always we are missing look at the relevant score. Always make sure they’re open score again as in the 6 to 10 area. The next thing we look at an this section is the click through rate also known as the CTR. We like our click through rate to be around above %1.75 this tells us right up front before are relevant scores even released that our ad is performing properly. And then obviously depending on what your market is we like to have our clicks to site below a dollar. Sometimes we will let our odds go if they’re above a dollar but I just depends on your market.

Video Engagement

The thing that you have to look at when determining if your Facebook ads are performing properly.

  1. Video percentage watched
    • You have to see how long people are actually watching your video. We generally like to see anywhere from 15% and up
  2. Cost per view
    • You have to ask what is my cost per view? We generally don’t like to pay more than 3 cents a view. If you’re paying more than that then the likelihood is; you need to change your audience or you need to remake a video.
  3. Shares
    • Is your video getting shared? It’s important that you are getting some sort of engagement on your video. If your audience is asking questions, if they’re tagging people in your posts.

Conclusion

These are some of the factors that we look for as far as seeing if your Facebook ads are performing. There are a lot of factors that go into determining if your ads are performing properly if you have any questions feel free to reach out to us. When all else fails just check relevant score !Don’t forget every market is different!

How To Utilize The Facebook Pixel- Video Marketing

How To Utilize The Facebook Pixel- Video Marketing

Seeing The Url’s

The power of seeing the URLs doesn’t sound too inspiring. But in reality it helps you see confirm that your Facebook pixel is  installed the pixel properly. One of the ways we also utilize the facebook pixel is to find thank you pages. It also can kind of work as Google analytics though we don’t encourage you to use Facebook as your analytics. We highly recommend Google analytics to actually observe your data. But still it shows you the pages that people are actually visiting.

Audiences Devices

This can help you in the process of targeting your ads. For example let’s say you have 20,000 pixel fires on desktop. And 20 on mobile. You know for a fact right upfront that your target audience mainly uses desktop computers.

The Best Way to Utilize The Facebook Pixel Creating audiences

Can I get a drum roll?….Now this is the main reason we use the Facebook pixel. This gives us the ability to create specific audiences from our website visitors. Here is a list of ways that you can build re-marketing list with the Facebook pixel from your site.

Anyone who has visited your website

When building out these lists for anyone who has visited your website. We recommend creating at least 6 different lists. We recommend doing a seven day, 14 day, 30 day, 60 day, 90 day, and 180 day. Now Facebook will create specific list for anyone who has visited your website in these time frames.

This will give you the ability to target brand-new leads and also give you the opportunity to reintroduce yourself to people that haven’t been back in a while.

People who visits specific pages

With this section we recommend creating a list for every single landing page. It depends on your product or service but generally speaking it gives you the ability to re-target someone that didn’t convert/purchase from that specific page.

We also recommend creating a list of people that have hit your checkout page/thank you page. Once the list gets big enough it gives you the opportunity to create a look-alike audience. We have had a lot of success with look-alike audiences. Facebook does well finding people that will likely buy your product. It also gives you the ability to retarget that audience and offer a different product. Your audience is likely to repurchase your product or other products if they’ve already bought.

People visiting specific pages but not others

The only time we would use this is for a company would be a company that offers multiple products in different categories.

People who haven’t visited in a certain amount of time.

This is a great opportunity you have to re-target people that may have purchased in the past. Or if you have a product that requires a monthly subscription. For example maybe you sell vitamins. The vitamins that you sell come in packs of 90 and after 90 days your buyer will need a new supply. You will want to build a list of people after 90 days and retarget an ad to them. We might recommend in this ad to offer them some sort of promotion or discount.

Look A Like Audiences

Look-alike audiences are a great way to find new buyers. But in order to create look alike audiences you need site traffic, Facebook traffic, or you need an email list. You will have a hard time creating look-alike audiences if you are a start up and are starting ads right now. It takes time to build list of traffic and get people visiting your site. Once you have visitors or you have an email list look alike audiences are very important, and are the best way to find new buyers.

How To Utilize The Facebook Pixel

diving into the Facebook Ads Manager let’s go over to pixels to see all the different things that this pixel offers us.  we can see the URLs with the pixels being fired the most; actually all the URLs that are being fired. You can continue to scroll to see more of all the different fires of the pixel. You can see the domains where the pixel has been installed. You can see the devices that where the pixel was being fired. for us the desktop is the most where the pixel is fired and the least is you know tablets.

Facebook Urls

that’s one thing that the pixel offers us. The second thing I would like to talk about is creating audiences from this pixel- so creating custom audiences from your website traffic. what you can do because this pixel is being fired so much you can specify the different URLs where you would like to target.  you do Anyone who has visited your website, so you would just put in your URL, or you can do specific pages or people visiting specific web pages but not others, people who haven’t visited in a certain amount of time. these are four different things that you can do to retarget to people from this Facebook pixel.

Create Facebook Audiences From Site Visitors

what this pixel is doing is it’s literally creating audiences for you all day long and lists from the visitors of your site.
another thing we like to do is, so for example we have visitors of 90 days. we’ve had 3800 fires in 90 days.  what we can do is click here, and we go to actions and we can create a look-alike audience of those 3800 people. our main audience is in United States and this would create a 1% look-alike audience from those 90 visitors. once your list gets big enough you can go and diversify your different audiences. we have all these different audiences that we have gone through and created from this Facebook pixel.
I hope this helps you guys out. This is the Facebook pixel again. I know I’ll help you guys’ website out, help your website conversions increase drastically, if you guys have this Facebook pixel in place along with creating these different types of audiences.

Video Marketing On Facebook! Does it work?

Top Benefits of Facebook Video Marketing

The value of top Video Marketing has been heavily explored in the past and nowadays businesses of all sizes have begun implementing video in their marketing campaigns. Video is a cheap way to get your message across and with Social Media platforms like Facebook taking full advantage of video to drive up engagement, it is only sensible that business and brands use video accordingly.

In the following article, we’ll be going over the top benefits of using your video on Facebook and how it has helped thousands of brands obtain killer traffic to their sites. In addition, we’ll be outlining some of the best tactics you can implement right now to put your brand on the map.

Audience

Facebook is the world’s biggest social media platform boasting over one billion users and while the organic reach of Facebook has dropped significantly over the past few years, their paid advertisement platform is one of the best available when used correctly.

Facebook is the second largest trafficked website and at any given time has more than five hundred million active users. In other words, there are roughly 500 million people right now on Facebook engaging in content from friends and brands alike. If you could only manage to obtain 1% of this traffic and direct it to your business, we’re talking about 5 million potential prospects visiting your brand. Now that’s impressive!

Mobile Users

Another important factor that brands and businesses must take into consideration is that the world is moving to searching the internet through mobile devices. It’s estimated that by 2019 that mobile users will surpass every other medium of exploring content online. Facebook is Mobile friendly and with 1 billion people using Facebook from a mobile device every month, it only makes sense to utilize the platform to reach your ideal customer.

Facebook videos are mobile friendly and is quickly becoming the main means for users to watch video.

Video and Social Behavior

Another killer reason why Facebook video marketing is so effective is due to the fact that users have all the means to share the content in a flash. With ‘Share’ and ‘Like’ buttons right below your video, you can tap into organic traffic much quicker than other platforms. In addition, Facebook gives you more exposure if the videos are hosted on their platform, meaning you’ll reach further demographics a lot easier than Youtube videos within their platform.

Hot Triggers – Awesome CTAs

One feature that Facebook videos have that is lacking on Youtube is the embedded call to action. When loading up a Facebook video, you have the option to embed a CTA at the end of the video. What this means is that once the user has finished watching the video, a clickable CTA is posted in the center of the screen. Typically, it reads “Learn more” or “subscribe” and once clicked will re-direct the user to the designated page.

In other words, after you have engaged your users and grabbed their attention, you can quickly send them to a relevant offer to help drive up conversions.

Boosting Virality Potential

Now let’s get into the true potential of marketing on Facebook with video. The Facebook advertising platform is one of the best in the world. You have the ability to reach millions of viewers if you understand how to properly boost your videos. I won’t go into the nitty-gritty details of boosting as that is a topic all on its own, however I will provide you with a general overview on how it works.

We already established that Facebook will show you more “love” if you upload the video directly on their platform. However, while the organic reach is dismal, the boosting potential can create a landslide of traffic coming your way.

The way you do this is by creating ‘audiences’ within the platform. You select ‘interests’ (which essentially are your keywords) of which Facebook will give you an estimated reach. You can continue to refine your reach based on geographic locations, general interests, excluding interests from a general interest and much more.

I strongly suggest you take time to explore their advertising options as many people have managed to boost videos into the millions of views on budgets as low as $20 USD.

The ‘Like-Invite’ Feature

This option isn’t available for all pages, however for the most part if your Facebook page has fewer than a hundred thousand likes you could take advantage of this feature. Essentially the “like-invite” feature (I don’t know if that’s what it’s called officially) allows you to invite users to like your page if they ‘liked your content’ even if they aren’t a fan or a friend of your brand.

In other words, if you manage to create a viral video. Let’s say there are 5,000 likes on the video and your page only has 3,000 likes; that means that there are potentially 2,000 people who could become fans of your page. You simply have to go down to where it says “These many people liked this post” and select the ‘Others’ link. This will bring up a list of people who liked your particular post. You’ll quickly notice that there are options that says “Invite to page”, simply click that and you could have a new fan on your business page.

This feature has helped people build solid communities really quickly by creating engaging content and taking advantage of the paid advertisement platform.

The Bottom Line

Video Marketing is no longer the ‘future of marketing’, it’s what’s happening right now! Facebook has worked hard over the years to incorporate video into their platform and many brands have seen the massive benefits of this integration. Seeing that people spend more time on Facebook than they do on Google, should give you the motivation to start incorporating video marketing on Facebook right now.

People are social creatures and the latest statistics and trends are clear on the fact that the Facebook community loves videos. Tap into the power of Facebook Video Marketing today!
